12 Month Internship - Idaho

Each year YD hires a select number of talented young adults from all over the world to participate in a 12 month internship.  Interns lead adventure trips for teens in Washington, Idaho and Oregon in YD Adventures and build long-term, intentional relationships with un-churched teens in YD Communities. Interns are an integral part of the Youth Dynamics ministry team, which is committed to reaching today’s youth through dynamic relationships and challenging experiences.

YD Adventures uses powerful adventure-based ministry to share Christ with teens and deepen their understanding of God. We challenge teens by taking them to the edge: dropping them into a rappel or rafting them through Class III and IV rapids. By experiencing these incredible challenges in God’s creation, teens are able to “unplug” from their day–to–day lives and experience God in ways they never have before.

YD Communities intentionally builds relationships with un-churched teens by being present in their world.  This includes volunteering in the local schools, hanging out in local teen "hot spots" (example: the skate park), or hosting events or drop in times at a youth center.  Through building a positive, caring relationship teens are invited to consider what they believe and are presented with the truth and love of Christ.  

As you serve others, you will also be challenged in your own faith as you work in Christian service with a team of believers and experience your own “edge” moments.  You will be mentored in considering what gifts God has given you and what vision and call God has placed on your life.
